I've come to a decision to make my first blog post 100% authentic. Something meaningful and inspirational. Yes, I know someday, one of you guys are going to scroll so far down my blog posts you're going to find this article, so why not make this article say something that makes you go "Wow. He's human. He breathes. He had to start where I was right now."
This is a blog from KYN in 2018. I'm just starting my career as a professional musician, while going to school. I recently recovered from being diagnosed with IBD, and honestly came to a realization that I'm not as invincible as I thought and that time is more limited than I thought. I have no certainty as to where my career will take me, what will happen, and how many songs in my FL file will actually make it to the public.
What I do know, however, is that I'm bound to encounter the people I make music for. The ones who don't just "listen" to the music, but experience the music. The ones who can relate to the music. The lives that suddenly change when they feel the lyrics I sing. And when the digital version goes as far as it takes them, they buy tickets and experience their favorite song with me in person. A whole other experience.
I don't know if those type of people will be thousands of people, hundreds of people, or dozens of people. But they're out there. And the fact that they are, is what will make me do this music thing forever.
I love you guys, and take it from the KYN with barely any fans right now, I really do and always will love you guys and be grateful.
